Priory Centre Abergavenny

ImageToday we were really pleased to welcome Eric Knowles, of Antiques Roadshow fame, to the Priory Centre.

He was guest lecturing with MDFAS – the Monmouthshire Decorative & Fine Arts Society for the April event.

MDFAS visit the Priory Centre monthly for a series of exiting and interesting lectures from a wide range of distinguished guests.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to lead and motivate a team consisting mainly of volunteers and including the Franchisee operating the Food Hall in the Tithe Barn
  • Administration, legislation, IT and marketing skills
  • Proven experience in general management
  • A flexible approach to working hours to reflect changing circumstances

In return we offer a competitive salary of £9.00 per hour for a 40 hour working week.

Manager to leave

Tom Bond has handed in his notice as Manager of the Priory House Company to photoconcentrate on his work as a Councillor.

Cllr Bond was elected to represent Rogerstone on Newport City Council last May.

In his letter of resignation he said, “Thank you for all the support everyone at St Mary’s Priory have given me during my time here. I feel I have learnt a lot, and will greatly value the skills I have developed whilst here. I believe St Mary’s Priory has exciting times ahead, and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Fr Mark Soady is saddened by the news, “Tom has done much to develop the Company during his time with us, and he has also contributed to the wider life of the parish through his work in helping establish the Young Benedictine Community.We shall miss him“.
