St Mary’s Priory House is pleased to announce Paul Thompson as the new Manager and looks forward to a new chapter in the continuing success and development of St Mary’s Priory Company. Paul has held various positions having lived and worked in South Wales for the last twenty eight years. Recently Paul was working as the General Manager of the University of Wales, Newport Students’ Union where he held that position for the last seven years.. He will provide a wide range of skills and knowledge from his previous financial and charity sector involvement. Along with this Paul can provide additional expertise for our event management as he has provided DJ and event management expertise at various functions over the last twenty years.

Paul added “I am really looking forward to the new opportunity and challenges ahead and hope to establish St Mary’s Priory with an even greater presence in Abergavenny and the wider parts of South Wales. In these difficult economic times it is important that communities and particularly facilities available to the community are available and widely used. At St Mary’s we firmly believe that we can do that in partnership with our franchise caterers Colbourne Catering we offer something unique that should be embraced.”

Fr Mark welcoming Paul said, “I have worked with Paul before, so know what skills and benefits he will bring to the operation here at St Mary’s Priory. We are very blessed to have Paul’s services in this key role”.
