New President for Development Trust

Lord Rowe-Beddoe of Kilgetty was elected President of the St Mary’s Priory Development Trust at its Christmas meeting.
Lord Rowe-Beddoe who has served as a Trustee of the Development Trust since 1999 is President of the Winston Memorial Appeal and a former Chairman of the Representative Body of the Church in Wales.
Welcoming the news Canon Mark Soady said, “He is a man of great faith and has long been a supporter of the church from his time as a Boy Chorister at Llandaff Cathedral to his membership here at St Mary’s Priory and St Peter’s Llanwenarth. We are fortunate to have his counsel”.
He is former Chairman of the Welsh Development Agency. In 2001, the then Sir David Rowe-Beddoe was appointed the Chairman of the Wales Millennium Centre. Three years later he was appointed President of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama having previously been a Governor and Chairman of the Board; he is also Pro-Chancellor of the University of South Wales.
The Trust’s Patron is HRH The Prince of Wales and its Chairman is Sir Trefor Morris CBE QPM.
